Representatives of Vitebsk State Technological University (VSTU) have visited the head office of the string transport company developer in Minsk. The delegates also have been at the production and the Testing Centre of String Technologies in Maryina Gorka.
The delegation included Elena Vankewich, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work; Natalya Yasinskaya, Head of the department of «Ecology and Chemical Technology»; Andrey Klimentyev, Senior Lecturer at the department of «Technology and Equipment of Machine Building Production»; and Viktor Sazhin, Head of the Scientific Research.
At the production site, the guests got to know how the motor-wheels, energy accumulators, casings for electric vehicles on steel wheels, and other elements of the string transport are manufactured. The delegates were particularly impressed by the size and the equipment of the production facility.
But the most memorable part of the tour was a visit to the Testing Centre. Here, the representatives from VSTU saw the string transport in action, familiarised themselves with the features of the flyover, visited the station and the string transport museum, and also appreciated the advantages of the EcoHouse.
The parties wrapped up by discussing future directions for cooperation: joint research projects and studies, holding scientific and practical events as well as lectures and practical sessions.
Vice-Rector for Scientific Work Elena Vankewich thanked the company representatives for the meeting:
«We did not expect such technology to be available in our country. Thank you so much for the informative tour and warm welcome!»
