A solemn ceremony of the Slovak International Peace Prize has been held in Bratislava today. This award was established by the informal Forum "Economic Club". The prizewinners are people who have made a significant contribution to the cause of peace, improving the living conditions of mankind, providing safety by non - violent methods, as well as contributing to the comprehensive development of civilization: the human society, individual nations and countries all over the world. The award has existed since 2015, and, one of the world's largest financiers, Secretary General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
The official ceremony was attended by the Slovak Minister of Defense, Ambassadors of China and the Russian Federation, as well as businessmen, scientists and politicians who participate in the activities of the Informal Forum.
During the award ceremony, General Designer of CJSC "String Technologies" Anatoliy Yunitskiy told the guests about his vision of the prospects for the development of ground transport and space exploration. He noted that humanity needs fundamentally new, creative solutions:
“We must think boldly and apply solutions that yesterday seemed impossible to us. If for saving the planet we need to create an alternative to cars with an internal combustion engine, it should be done now. If for the future of the mankind the industry should be taken into the Earth orbit, the development in this direction should be started as soon as possible".
