The founder of the project Anatoli Unitsky has held a working meeting at the Testing Centre in Sharjah. The participants of the meeting discussed the installation of the string rails on track 4, the construction site safety, as well as the work with contractors and suppliers.
One part of the meeting took place in the indoor pavilion, where there recently has appeared the 1:1 scale mock-up of the string rail. You can use it as an example to show what the structure consists of.
The same rail will be mounted on the 2.4-km track 4, which is intended to test the freight Unicont up to 60 tons in mass and the higher capacity passenger Unibus.
The meeting helped the specialists find solutions that will simplify some of the installation steps as well as validate the high safety and environmental requirements of the specific works.
