The String Technologies Testing Centre in Sharjah continues to attract delegations from all over the world. This time, the representatives from the Egyptian business community have visited the site.
The highlight of the tour was a ride on the certified tropical Unicar. The guests then visited the dispatch room, where there was presented the hardware-software system for traffic control and the data acquisition system on the tracks.
The delegates have also been in the pavilion that showcases the high-speed model of the string transport. This vehicle can reach speeds of up to 500km/h on intercity and international routes.
The guests also went to see the headquarters of the company, which is developing the project in the Middle East. This building features a working mock-up of a linear city. These are settlements of a modern type, which are connected by string tracks.
At the end of the tour, the parties discussed the possibility of introducing the string freight transport in Egypt. This was the direction of the project which the delegates were particularly interested in.
